St Johns Wort has been found in some trials to be as effective as paxil, but you cannot take it with paxil. Anyway thats my experience. I’m still on it but plan to get off it once I finish university and have space to deal with the withdrawal

But please don’t scare yourself with all this hype if you are on paxil. Yes, it has side effects but most people arent going to experience extreme side effects. I definitely had withdrawal symptoms but it’s manageable, especially if you are on a Naturopathic program monitoring your nutrition, and needing any supplements etc.

I don’t want to be on it, as I’m doing a dual degree in nutrition & naturopathy and prefer the natural alternatives. I just need to stop caving into family member’s opinions. I have depressed episodes whether I’m on or off this medication. So whenever that happens if I’m not on paxil, they urge me to go back on it and say stuff like “dont you want to be better?” and I cave in.

I’m on birth control, my doctor told me not to use it if I suspect I’m pregnant. I’ve been on paxil for 5+ years and I have not had suicidal ideations. I have experienced some weight gain, but I had bad eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle. I have weened off paxil many times with only dizziness and motion sickness as a side effect. I end up going back on it about a year later because whenever I have panic attacks or depression, people tell me I need to go back on it.

This is a video by greedy lawyers who don’t understand one thing about medicine or mental illness. All they want is to scare people who have anxiety disorders(which is why they are put on the drug in the first place), into feeling that the drug made them feel this way. SSRI’s are not for alot of people, ONLY for people who need them. Doctors are there to help, talk to them, not lawyers. Someone give this clown some money so he will shut the fuck up.
